#IAMONSALTSATYAGRAHA is a nationwide public health movement dedicated to one simple goal: revealing the hidden salt in your food. We are advocating for clear, mandatory salt content labeling on all packaged foods to empower every Indian to make healthier dietary choices. Join us in our mission to build a healthier India.

The need for this movement stems from a critical public health issue in India. The World Health Organization (WHO) advises that adults should consume no more than 5 grams of salt per day. However, the average salt intake in India is estimated to be four to five times this recommended amount
This excessive consumption is a major risk factor for high blood pressure, heart disease, and other serious health conditions. A primary reason for this high intake is that salt is often hidden in our everyday foods. Traditional recipes, street food, and a growing reliance on packaged and processed foods contribute to this problem, often without consumers realizing it. This campaign was created to shine a light on this hidden threat and give Indians the tools to protect their health.
